Puerto Vallarta, Mexico really grabs your heart and doesn’t not let go. Nestled in the Sierra Madre mountains at the edge of Banderas Bay, Vallarta is both a wonderland of natural beauty and an unpretentious resort destination. Not to mention a showcase of architecture, from 17th century villages just outside of town, to Vallarta’s own whitewashed, red-roofed buildings dotting the lush green hillsides.
From The Penthouse, you can take in a full view of some of the town’s most exquisite homes. Our area is called the “Beverly Hills of Puerto Vallarta,” thanks to the sprawling, multi-million dollar residences that take full advantage of the Banderas Bay views from their prestigious perch. You get those same views at The Penthouse, of course! Watch gentle waves roll onto the rock-studded shore from the privacy of your shaded terrace.
When you’re not relaxing at home, you can choose from adventures like snorkeling (one of the best spots is Playa Majahuitas, but you can also snorkel on the beach below V Conchas Chinas), taking a whale-watching tour, or hiking the gorgeous coastline.
Prefer a more low-key day? Stroll the streets of romantic Old Town, take in the abundant art in The Centro, and sample cuisine ranging from street stall tacos to fresh seafood on the waterfront. When the sun goes down, there are plentiful options for nightlife within a mile of The Penthouse.
And we would be remiss to not mention the people. Vallarta is full of friendly folks, from long-time locals to ex-pats. Surely the weather has something to do with it—Vallarta is located at roughly the same latitude as Hawaii, with the tropical climate to match.
